What Sponsors Receive
Sponsored blogs
Sponsored articles written by our team or approved brand-submitted content. Clearly labeled as sponsored, distributed across our site and channels. Includes standard placement, imagery, and one round of revisions.
Weekly sponsor column
One (1) dedicated column per week, published on an agreed day. Your byline, topic within our guidelines, and visibility to our full audience. Ideal for thought leadership, product updates, or community engagement.
Requirement: link to CtrlShift on your site
All sponsors must maintain a visible link to CtrlShift on their primary (parent) website for the duration of the partnership. This supports mutual visibility and signals a genuine media partnership.
- Link must appear in a standard footer, “Partners”, “Media”, or similar visible section.
- Use the exact link text and URL we provide; do not change without written approval.
- Notify us of any URL or site changes that affect this link.
Rules of engagement
Sponsors are required to meet the following obligations. Failure to engage may result in suspension of benefits or forfeiture of fees as set out in your agreement.
Content & publishing
- Submit sponsored blog copy by the agreed deadline (minimum 5 business days before publish date).
- Provide all assets (images, logos, links) in the required format and resolution.
- Ensure all claims and statistics in sponsored content are accurate and substantiated.
- One (1) sponsored column per week published on the agreed day; no carry-over or banking of unused slots.
- Respond to editorial revision requests within 2 business days.
Brand & compliance
- Clearly disclose sponsorship in all off-site promotions (e.g. social, email) per FTC/local guidelines.
- Do not use CtrlShift branding, logos, or name in any way not pre-approved in writing.
- Sponsored content must align with our content policy (no hate speech, misinformation, or prohibited categories).
- Any changes to campaign scope, messaging, or key contacts must be communicated in writing.
Reciprocal linking & visibility
- Maintain a visible link to CtrlShift on the sponsor’s primary (parent) website for the full term of the partnership.
- Link must be in a standard footer, “Partners” / “Media” page, or equivalent visible placement—not hidden or nofollow-only without prior agreement.
- Use the agreed link text and destination URL provided by CtrlShift.
- Notify CtrlShift of any URL or site structure changes that affect the link placement.
Engagement & participation
- Designate a single point of contact (and backup) for the partnership; respond to CtrlShift within 2 business days.
- Attend or send a delegate to any mandatory kickoff or review call as specified in the agreement.
- Provide performance feedback or requested data within 10 business days when reasonably requested.
- Engage in good faith with reader comments or moderation requests related to sponsored content when applicable.
Engagement requirement & forfeiture
Sponsors must meet the rules of engagement above. Non-compliance may result in suspension of benefits. In the event of material breach or early termination by the sponsor:
- •Failure to meet the engagement and participation requirements above may result in suspension of sponsorship benefits.
- •Persistent non-compliance (e.g. missed deadlines, no response to revision requests, or removal of required link) may be treated as a material breach.
- •In the event of material breach or voluntary termination by the sponsor, fees already paid are non-refundable and any unused portion of the sponsorship does not entitle the sponsor to a refund or credit.
- •CtrlShift reserves the right to remove or unpublish sponsored content that violates these terms or our content policy, without refund.
